Autograph Note Signed, J.R. Feese, Asst. Adjt. Genl. addressed to General Wool, Hd. Qtrs. Alexandria, Va. February 26, 1862, and reads “The writer of this letter is a very worthy colored man of this city, who is anxious to get word to his family as to his whereabouts. If not inconsistent with the interests of the public service will you please have it forwarded...” The letter from the man menitoned is not included. VG.
