Wardlaw, Anderson District, South Carolina, November 14, 1846 requiring numerous witnesses to, in part: "…appear at my house…to try Fill, a slave the property of Samuel Dawson's for fighting and swearing that he was the best man on the hill…some time back at William Davis' corn shucking.
