Manuscript account book, 5” x 7,” 24 pages, of which 19 are ink manuscript, 1849-1852, leather cover. In small part, “November 1849, I peter H Troutman of the county of Bourbon and state of Kentucky do dictate this book to be used as a record of all such advances which I may make to my children ...” It then continues recording disbursements to his nine children, each with a separate page. The disbursements include, cash on slaves $250, Negro Boy Joseph, $1000. The last dozen pages are taken with receipts. Very nice.
