An important broadside regarding the recruitment of Negroes in the Union Army, discusses the turning away of Black men in New York in quest of enlisting, a report on a huge 1000 man regiment of black soldiers in Tennessee, blacks in the southwest being added to the US army, a discussion on the anxiety of the black man to learn due to no or poor resources, the black man sees that a change is coming and wants to learn how to read and write and it up to sincere people to assist them in every way. An important large broadside regarding the formation of Negro troops in several areas of the country. Fine condition.
