This fancy c. 1920 black character measures 16" tall x 5" across at the shoulders. Facial features hand painted, left leg longer than the right, dressed up in a black Top hat, matching black vest having tails in back and with four pearly buttons in front and two in the back, his white cloth fancy dress shirt has a high collar and to top off the outfit, he has a "diamond" stick pin mid-chest. This doll appears completely original with very little sign of any wear. The face paint is bright white, red and black and is complete. His curly black hair is hand stitched and made from yarn. A rare, very high quality example of a Black figure as represented in a child's toy doll. Fine condition.
