The autograph by Robert E. Lee “R.E. Lee Lexington, Va.” is bold and clean. With period ink notation Apr. 30, 1869 at far right. This date corresponds with a time that Robert E. The Jefferson Davis autograph “ Jefferson Davis 14 Oct. 1869” is also very bold and clean. The remainder of the autographs include: J.M. Mason, Confederate Commissioner to the UK and France; A.T. Bledsoe, Author of the Lost Cause; J. Larkin Scott, of the Carthage Conspiracy trial, Isaac Ridgeway Trimble, Confederate general, Randolph Barton, staff of the Stonewall Brigade; Harry Gilmor, Confederate cavlary officer who led the partisans known as ‘Gilmor’s Raiders’; and many more.
