Partly-printed Document Signed, 1pp. folio, being a petition for "Julia Pauling Snow" to join the "Mary Graham Chapter of the Children of the Confederacy; Located at Camden County of Onachita State of Arkansas…" Snow being "the Grandchild of E.S. Greening who entered the service of the Confederate States…in Company A Regiment 11th Arkansas…and was parolled at Jackson, Miss. 1865…" Snow then writes "My Grandfather belonged to the cavalry & was always the first to volunteer to do scout duty ran many narrow risks & hair-breath escapes, was three times offered promotion for valiant service, but preferred to remain in the ranks. Hence I say all honor to the brave private…" Fine. Unusual.
