A great partly-printed war-date Union 1864 presidential campaign soldier's absentee voting ballot document, 1p. folio, Cumberland, MD, October 1864, in which Richard Tobin, 21st NY Calvary gives Patrick Ryan the power of attorney to cast his vote for President on November 8, 1964. The document and original envelope are signed by Captain Peter Hogeboom, 21st NY Calvary. Tobin was also a POW in December 1864. A rare document, excellent.
