Set of three catalogs for “The History of America in Documents” parts 1, 2, 3, held by the Rosenbach Company of New York, 1949. Some of the incredible lots described are a “ Manuscript Account of the Voyages of Columbus Written by Andres Bernaldez’ listed at $48,000, serveral Hernando De Soto signed letters, a Hernando Cortes signed letter, a Diego Columbus letter being “the Earliest Extant Autograph Letter Written in and Sent from America” listed at $35,000, Ben Franklin signed Independence Hall document, George Washington ALS, “Describing the Historic Session of the Virginia Assembly Held at the Raleigh Tavern in Williamsburg in May, 1774.” and much more. Very good condition.
