HARDING, Warren G. (1865-1923). 29th President of the United States. Harding, a former publisher, was a staunch defender of the status quo, particularly when it came to leaving big business alone. He defeated Democrat and fellow Ohio newspaper publisher James M. Cox with the largest popular vote landslide (60% to 34%) in presidential history. Document Signed “Warren G. Harding” as President of the United States, 17-3/4”x13-1/2”, on a stately form, annoucing Charles C. Malosh as Postmaster in Clare County, Michigan. Embossed Post Office Department seal and also signed by the Postmaster General. About very good condition.
