Rare group of five Press passes from the FDR White House, fine. The passes allowed Christian Science Monitor reporter Richard Strout to attend press events as well as go on trips with President Roosevelt and his party. Strout covered the White House starting in the Harding administration up through the Reagan years. Three of the 2 1/2" x 4" passes are White House Correspondent passes, all signed by FDR's secretary Stephen Early. A fourth pass, also signed by Early, is for a September 1940 campaign trip, and the fifth pass is Strout's National Press Clib pass, signed by Richard Wilson, President of the club. A rare assemblage of FDR related press passes.
