This group of five 1840 Liberators have the two panal masthead depicting a slave auction on the left; emancipation on the right. These Liberator Newspapers are each 4pp., never bound, some with tissue repair to folds. Each issue contains news reports, editorials, and speeches regarding slavery abolition. The group includes; July 24, 1840, August 7, 1840, August 21, 1840, August 28, 1840 and September 11, 1840.
