Steel engraving, 10” x 6-1/4” uncolored, “Entrance of the Fifty Fifth Massachusettes (Colored) Regiment Into Charleston, Feb. 21, 1865.” Illustration depicting the entrance of the 55th Massachusetts into Charleston, South Carolina. This regiment, along with the 54th Massachusetts, was one of the first USCT regiments formed.
