An extraordinary albuman photograph, 9-1/2” x 8”, comprising of a composition of 72 men. The photo is mounted to a printed mat, “Friends of Freedom” with a printed legend identifying each of the 72 men which include, John Brown, Abraham Lincoln, Horace Greely, Henry Longfellow, John Quincy Adams, Lewis Tappan, Schuyler Colfax, Owen Lovejoy, Henry Ward Beecher .... and 63 others. Entered in 1882 by George Rose, Washington DC. Presented in older oak frame with board backers. Image is clean and unique.
