This original Document is 1 page, measuring 9.25" x 5.25" MAY 8, 1890, of the official Fire Adjuster's of "Hudson Lee" building Fire. A well known, well documented Charleston, S.C. Slave Trader, "General Agent" and Auctioneer. This Post - Civil War, Post - Emancipation Document shows that he had a major fire in his building, needing an insurance adjustment. This document is folded, with light tone along its folds, well printed with clearly readable manuscript portions. Hudson Lee of Charleston, South Carolina Slave Trader, Fire Adjuster's signed Document. Plus, a color PHOTOCOPY of an earlier "HUDSON LEE" old Business Form is included. This copy of his card reads: "HUTSON LEE, BROKER, Auctioneer & Commission Agent, No. 57 BROAD-ST., CHARLESTON, S.C. - Gives personal and prompt attention to the purchase of Real Estate, Negroes, Bonds, Stocks and Securities of all kinds. ** Orders for Negroes promptly and faithfully executed." An interesting, Black History and American Slave Trade related lot. (2 items).
