A complete and authenticate issue of the New York Daily Tribune, September 1, 1851, 8pp., disbound, VG. From an interior page, “The Poughkeepsie Fugitve Case” runs 19” and reports the case of John Bolding, a fugitive from Columbia, S.C. and the property of Barret Anderson. Although not reported here, Bolding was returned to South carolina, but the sum of $2,000 was raised in New York, and paid to Bolding's owner, who had consented to take that sum for him, and Bolding returned to his family in Poughkeepsie.
