From an interior page, “The Milwaukee Slave Case,” runs 10” and reports on recounts the rescue of fugitive slave joshua Glover. In part, A man quickly kicked in the outer door. Pic axes broke through the wall ... the cell was soon opened and in about 15 minutes, the prisoner was out. At the bridge, Glover left his buggy and soon disappeared. ...”
