Autograph Letter Signed, T.S. Freeman, 1p. folio, October 14, 1864, Macon, Mississippi, with integral address to President A.J. Jones in Alabama, it reads in part: “...The Sheriff of our county handed me a letter from S.F. Owen...inquiring of certain negroes was in our jail. About 1 month ago a man named Folett...came here and taken out 6 negroes all said they belong to 1 man...left 2 negroes who said they belong to 1 fellow of Hines County...I have sent out a reward...” Good.
