A good war-date Florida Civil War document being a field printed version of General Orders, No. 32, 1p. 8vo., "Headquarters, District of Florida, Dept. of the South, Jacksonville, Fla., May 18, 1864", reading, in part: "The following rates…will hereafter be charged all civilians not in government employ traveling to points in this district on Government transports…Jacksonville and Fernandina $2.00 each…Jacksonville and Picolata 1.00…Jacksonville and Yellow Bluff .50…". With several other points also listed. Issued and signed in type by order of Brig. Gen. GEO. H. GORDON. Signed at the top indicating it was given to Major Henry Allen of the 17th Connecticut Vols. who was WIA at Gettysburg. Overall VG .
