Backmark for Miller, Boston with manuscript identification above, the front lower margin inscribed "with regards of H. B. Banks." Lt. Banks, son of Union Major-General Nathaniel Banks, was killed at Second Manassas on August 29m 1862. A rare image. With service record facsimile from the National Archives. Fine condition.
