Nice war-date carte de visite of Major General George Meade (1815-1872) who led the Union forces to a victory over Robert E. Lee at Gettysburg. Excellent image in full-standing pose, c. 1864. Wenderoth & Taylor backmark. Mount hole at top center away from subject, else very good condition.
