Backmark reading "A.S. Morse, Photographer, Dep't of the Cumberland, Branch of Hd. Qrs, 25 Cedar Street, Nashville, Tenn." This contrary son of Ol' Virginia is shown in a Yankee blue sack coat embellished with shoulder straps indicating the sitter's lofty rank. Small crease to right, else very good condition.
