Rare Mary Lincoln tintype set in a CDV size mount, George Ayer, Portland Maine label on the verso, ca. 1863-1864. An Abraham Lincoln tintype exists from the same manufacturer. The Mary Lincoln is far scarcer, and rarely appears on the market. The tintype is excellent. The mount has some light toning around the edge from being in an album. This large tintype would make a great addition to a Lincoln collection.
