Pair of stereoviews of the Capitol Building in Washinton, D.C., draped in mourning bunting, April 1865. One image is a long distance view showing the bunting on the Capitol columns. The second view, which has an E. & H.T. Anthony label on the verso, reads "North Front Of Capitol From West Portico", is a more closeup view. Lincoln's body laid in state in the Capitol for public viewing starting on April 20. The long distant view is pictured in "Twenty Days", the definitive source for Lincoln assassination and funeral images. The long distance view has some wear to the mount, the closeup view is excellent. A fine pair of Lincoln mourning stereoviews.
