Paul Warfield Tibbets, Jr. was a brigadier general in the United States Air Force, best known as the pilot of the Enola Gay – named for his mother – the first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb in the history of warfare. This group consists of five pieces to include; A copy of the July 25, 1945 authorizing the Hiroshima bombing. The copy is authenticately signed by; “Paul W.
