Japanese Language Cloth Book, 6” x 9,” 60 pages plus separate cover, with cloth pages. Nearly every page has a well accomplished woodblock illustration depicting daily life in Japan. For example, working in the rice paddies, the dinner table, fishing, riding in a carriage, a classroom, children flying a kite and rolling a wheel, ..... and then to my delight, an illustration of men playing BASEBALL ! Baseball came to Japan in the 1870’s.
