c. 1863 Hand-Drawn Calling Card Featuring The Battle Between the Monitor and the Merrimac, Very Fine. 2.5" x 3.75". The calling card of Joshua Rice, here an exquisitely done, unique, hand-drawn, pen-and-ink drawing that features a large Union shield and bunting, with the famous battle between the two ironclads illustrated below. Inscribed on the back by Rice, "From Joshua G. Rice To His Friend." A superb, one-of-a-kind item from the Civil War.
