Partly-printed Document Signed B.C. Brow, 1pp. octavo, Weakley County, Tennessee, September 3, 1838, and reads in part: “..To the Sheriff of Weakley County...We command you, as other officers have heretofore been that of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of John Jenkins & Thomas Crawford if to be found in your county, you cause to be made the sum of two thousand & eighty nine dollars and fifty cents, which Hinson Purnell...recovered against them...” Verso states “Levied this file upon five negroesto wit 1 named Bick Adalene, Calvin William & Sam as the property of John Jenkins...” Very good condition.
