The five views surrounding the lettering and central image of the Sable brothers seated in chairs, each with an instrument, feature (clockwise from the top) the bust-length portrait of G. Bancker, director of the troop, a moonlit scene of a dance on the banks of a river, a single black man dancing, a row of black men hoeing with their backs to a log cabin.
