From the interior under the column headline “The Fugitive Slave Case in Brooklyn.” Provides a 1-1/2 column report and ruling of a Georgia slave, Thomas Steele who bought a ticket at Savanah on a New York bound ship. He was discovered, arrested and detained in Brookly. His captors were charged with kidnapping.
