War-date Union soldier's letter, 2pp. 8vo., written, on U. S. Christian Commission stationery, by Sgt. Moses M. Ordway, 40th Mass. Vols., Point Lookout, Md., Mar. 13, [1864] to his brother, in part: "We are at Point Lookout…we went up the Potomac river to Kinsdale on Kinsdale Creek where we made a raid into the country in search of Mosby's guerrillas…did not meet them in force…we are now at Pt. Lookout…Moses M. Ordway." The original transmittal cover is also included. VG
