Large format mounted albumen, 9” x 6-3/4” to 13-1/2” x 10-1/2” mount showing six manned canons in a line, with another six supply wagons in the background. In total there are nearly 100 soldiers visible. On the reverse in ink “Keystone Battery at Centerville Va.” A cropped version of this image is used on the webpage http://keystonebattery.org which identifies this as 1862. The Keystone Battery was first deployed as part of the defenses of the city of Washington.
