PERON, Eva (1919-1952) was the second wife of Argentine President Juan Perón (1895–1974) and served as the First Lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death in 1952. She is usually referred to by the affectionate Spanish language diminutive Evita. Autograph Note Signed in the third person, in Spanish, 1pp. octavo, on Peron’s Campaign for Social Aid Assistance letterhead, she writes in blue indelible pencil with regard to her crusade. Through the Eva Peron Foundation, this branch created in 1948 was designed to take care of old or abandoned women by means of temporary subsidies and housing. Annotated in black ink at bottom. Fine condition.
