COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, Oct. 10, 1792 On the front page, fourth column above the fold, “FUNERAL of Admiral Paul Jones,” with the announcement in the form of a letter to the President from the American Minister in France who states that the he ordered Jones body “to be interred in the most private manner and at the least possible expense ...” The report continues with the description of the funeral and placement of the body in the sepulchre.
