This stunning, oval portrait medallion of Sir Henry Clinton, features a brown, transfer print, half length image of Clinton in uniform, wearing a gorget, with “Gen. Clinton” in a banner below. Measuring 2-1/4’ x 3”. Undoubtedly made somewhere in England, is unsigned and enclosed in a simple tin frame. There are some hairline cracks in the porcelain, most of which do not go through to the other side. Otherwise this medallion is in excellent condition. A rare example of a medallion celebrating British heroes of the Revolutionary War.
