From the interior of the January 31, 1857 issue, 6” x 7” ENGRAVING “Dr. Livingston, the African explorer in His Traveling Costume,” followed by a near full page report. Fine. ... plus, From the interior of the February 14, 1857 issue, a large 9-1/2” x 10,” map , “A Map of the African Continent, Projected by Dr. Livingston, to show his Lines of Travel, on his Three Graet Exploring Tours.” The report covers the balance of the page and 1 column on the following page. Slight spotting on cover, else fine.
