One page, 7" x 10 ½", Washington, D.C., March 4, 1857. Future Confederate Secretary of War John Breckenridge of Kentucky is named as incoming vice-president. This elaborate invitation had been personalized, however the name has long since faded away. Some stains with a clipped corner, else good condition.
