Group of five unused patriotic lettersheets, one by Charles Magnus, and one songsheet “SHERMAN’S CAMPAIGN, ‘64-’65” 1865, 1p. octavo, with corps badges and battles scenes at top, it reads in small part: “...Now still you hear the tidigns/, Brave SHERMAN is all right/ His army took Savanah/ By fighting day and night./ He cleared the road to Charleston,/ And old Beauregard had to clear,/ While he’s bound again for Richmond/ With his fighting Volunteeers...Now Johnson has surrendered/To Sherman and his men,/We’ll stack our guns and sabres,/And homeward will return./ But should our country be assailed/And need more fighting men/Why, Sheraman’s Army’s ready/To fight for Uncle Sam....” VG.
