1865 Letter from a Union Woman. 10" x 8", 2 pages, [Breckenridge, Mo.], Very good; hole at center fold. A letter from Eliza Godwin to her cousin Nannie. She wishes that Nannie were there to go to "meeting" with her: "...we have such good meetings... the people are working with all of their minds and hearts and souls for the salvation of a lost and ruined people... Nannie I consider my self in the army, and when Old Satan comes up like Jeff Davis rebbles I intend to fight him and gain the victory every time..."
