From the interior, nearly 3 columns detailing “Estimate of the Expenditures for the Civil List of the United States, for the year 1789” signed in type by Alexander Hamilton. As example, “Secreatary of the Treasury, 3500 dollars annually” ...” The military budget is also printed which shows $39,456 for the infantry, $19,662 for the Artillery .... Fascinating.
