Manuscript Will for Samuel Hocker, Lincoln Ciunty, Kentucky, December 6, 1813, 4pp., VG. Within the will, Hocker provides for the distribution of his 16 slaves. As example, “I give to my son John Hocker one Negro boy named Squire ... I give to my daughter Polly Hocker three Negroes namely Jenny, Richmond and Abba ... I give to my son Phillip Hocker one Negro girl named Mahala ...” The will also defines benefactors for his property and is signed by Hocker and three witnesses.
