A vignetted CDV of a a white baby and her black nurse. Loving image as the two are check to check. Ink identification on the reverse, “Racheal Coffin & Priscilla her nurse.” The image is backmarked by ALLEN, Temple Place, Boston. nd, c1869 Edward L. Allen (1830-1914) was a photographer in 19th-century United States who kept a studio on Temple Place in Boston, Massachusetts (c. 1868-1871).
