A ballot for allowing black men to vote in New York State from November 1869. The vote was whether to allow black men to vote if they owned at least $250.00 worth of real estate. This ballot was in favor of allowing black men to vote if they owned enough property. Statewide, the issue to allow black men to vote without the property requirement failed by 283,403 votes to 249,802. Fine.
