A good war-date partly-printed Confederate Vicksburg military pass meant to be issued before the city's surrender dated 1863, 1p. 12mo., reading, in part: "…upon honor not to communicate in writing or verbally…any fact ascertained, which, if known to the enemy might be injurious to the Confederate States of America…". Unissued on light olive green paper. Minor spotting, else VG.
