Preprinted and filled out in manuscript, Confederate form No. 21, 12” x 9”, September 14, 1864, Augusta, VG. The commutation accounts for and reimburses 1st Lt. William F. Paine, 30th Mississippi Infantry for $322.66 for fuel expensed while on duty at the Military Prison in Atlanta, Georgia. Paine was captured at Murfreesboro December 31, 1862 nad exchanged April 29, 1863. It is issued and signed by Maj. H.T. Massengale.
