Confederate preprinted form “REQUISITION FOR CLOTHING”, 13” x 9-1/2”, October 19, 1864, VG. The document issues 2 jackets, 2 pairs of drawers, and 2 pairs of shoes for the: private James F. taylor, Co. D, 1st Florida Infantr who enlisted February 28, 1862, captured at Resaca, sent to Louisville Military prison, then transferred to Alton IL. In June 1864 he enlisted in the Federal Army; Private James Rudd, Co. G., 31st Alabama Infantry, Captured at Vicksburg, exchanged, captured again Resaca may 16, 1864 and sent to Alton, IL. Both acknowledge receipt using their “X”.
