Teague Maj Gen Comdg SC Div UCV” 1pp. quarto, on fine “Headquarters South Carolina Division United Confederate Veterans.” lettersheet, Aiken, South Carolina, May 28, 1914, and reads “South Carolina Division, UCV learns with deep sorrow and regret of the illness of their life long friend, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Bleckley; and at their reunion in Anderson, S.C. May 27 and 28 1914 her absence from their sessions was especially noticed. The Division take this opportunity of conveying to her their sympathy with her in her sickness and of expressing a sincere desire for her recovery...” With matching cover addressed to Mrs. Bleckley. Fine condition. Benjamin Hammet Teague (1846-1921) as a seventeen year old student, enlisted into Hampton’s Legion and served with this unit during the war.
