A good collection of five (5) war-date letters written by Pvt. Ephraim W. Frost [POW Winchester, Va., 6/13/63; WIA Piedmont, Va., 6/05/64; POW 6/11/64 while wounded-confinded at Florence, SC & DOD upon parole 1/15/65], Co. I, 116th Ohio Vols. written from "Camp at Romney, Va." February 22, 1863 through "In camp at Sleepy Creek, Morgan Co., Va. December 19, 1863. Content includes desertions, return of paroled POWs, picket duty, news on his commanders, commentary on rations and supplies. Approximately, 8vo and 4to. pages. Expected toning and wear, else VG with the last letter having several tapes repairs. Also included are copies of Frost's service records from the National Archives.
