Union soldier manuscript document written by Orlando Swain who enlisted August 13, 1862 into 84th Indiana Infantry, September 8, 1864 describing lost arms and ammunition. In part,"... to advance under the fire of the Enemy..one non commissioned officer was severly wounded. The arms carried by the non commissioned officer were left on the field ..." He lists seven items including Enfield 58 Cal Rifle. VG
