Fine war-period stereoview published by Alexander Gardner. Image #1018 from the Gardner Gallery depicting an 8 inch Brooke rifled gun. No backmark, though other examples of this stereo from Gardner's studio exist with further identification: "Eight inch Brooke rifled gun, weighing 21,987 lbs., in unfinished battery wood-hurdle revetment, anchored by grape vines." A Gardner studio image printed from an original negative by Frank Browne. Fine image, mounted on thick cardstock mount which shows some wear.
